
The Society's Regions and District Groups all hold a range of activities throughout the year. Activities include plant sales, wildflower exhibitions, tree and shrub plantings, bush regeneration days, garden visits, bushwalks and regular meetings.
The activities listed here are by no means a complete programme of all activities. They have been selected as being of particular interest to those who are not (yet?) Society members. They also include activities by other organisations.

Canberra ACT Australian Native Plants as Bonsai - 9th National Exhibition and Symposium Ray Nesci will be the guest presenter and workshop leader for the Symposium. He has chosen to talk about and will demonstrate using, the water gum (Tristaniopsis sp.). The symposium workshops will also cover other Australian native plant species. Brisbane, Queensland Autumn Plant Sale The Society's Queensland Region's autumn sale will be held at the Grovely TAFE Campus. Entry via Woking Street, off Casey Street, off Dawson Parade, Keperra (UBD Map 138:1E). A range of plants from experienced SGAP growers will be on sale, as well as expert advice on plant care and landscaping, also book sales. Geelong, Victoria Autumn Plant Sale This sale is hosted by the Geelong Group of the Australian Plants Society. Venue: 40 Lovely Banks Road (formely 350 Purnell Road), Lovely Banks (Melway 431 D6). Thousands of good quality plants for sale. Open garden, light refreshments, book sales, off street parking. Admission $2; Children free. Enquiries: apsgeelong@gmail.com Oakdale, New South Wales Autumn Plant Fair and Open Garden 'Silky Oaks, the extensive native garden developed by Peter and Margaret Olde, 140 Russell Lane, Oakdale (17 km from Picton). Peter is the leader of ANPSA's Grevillea Study Group. Access: M5 to Picton. Turn left at Picton into Argyle St then first right into Barkers Lodge Road. Russell Lane is on the right at Oakdale. Alternatively, train to Macarthur then bus to Camden - change bus to Russell Lane Oakdale.
Adelaide, South Australia Autumn Plant Sale The Australian Plants Society SA Region's plant sale will be held at the Adelaide Showgrounds, Wayville. Further details as they come to hand. |
